Volunteer Work at
E-Waste Recycle

While completing their Duke of Edinburgh Award, Ned and Joseph volunteered at E-Waste Recycle, gaining hands-on experience in the ITAD (Information Technology Asset Disposition) industry. They assisted with sorting and processing decommissioned IT equipment and learned about the importance of secure data destruction and responsible e-waste handling.

Transition Oundle

Every year, E-Waste Recycle partners with Transition Oundle, a local community group focused on environmental sustainability. Through this collaboration, E-Waste Recycle has helped collect over 2 tonnes of unwanted IT equipment from the local area, ensuring it is responsibly reused, refurbished or recycled. In return, E-Waste Recycle donates funds to Transition Oundle, which are then reinvested into local environmental initiatives — supporting projects that benefit the community and promote long-term sustainability.

At E-Waste Recycle, we use two secure and industry-approved methods for data destruction:

Data erasure – We use certified software to securely wipe all data from your devices. This method overwrites the storage multiple times, ensuring that no information can be recovered. It’s ideal for assets that will be reused, resold or redeployed.

Physical destruction – For devices that are no longer needed or can’t be reused, we physically destroy the storage media.

We help you recover maximum value from your retired IT assets through a combination of careful assessment, secure handling and resale.
